The Schönbrunn Palace

Vienna wakes us up with its timeless charm, and today, we’re diving straight into imperial grandeur. Our morning takes us to Schönbrunn Palace, the Habsburgs’ answer to “How can we make Versailles jealous?”.

Our guide leads us through 22 lavish staterooms, sharing the juiciest stories about Maria Theresia, the Empress who basically ran the show here, and the opulent world of imperial Austria. From the glittering Great Gallery, where extravagant balls once lit up the night, to the Hall of Ceremonies, where history was made, every room is a portal to a different era.

But Schönbrunn isn’t just about gilded walls and chandeliers—its gardens are just as legendary. After the palace tour, we stroll through its perfectly manicured paths, admiring grand fountains, statues, and hidden gems scattered across the vast grounds.

Afternoon in the city centre

With centuries of royal history behind us and a camera roll already filling up, the rest of the day is ours to explore Vienna’s city center at our own pace. And what’s a proper Viennese afternoon without some epic food stops? First things first—coffee culture here is sacred, so we settle into a historic Kaffeehaus to sip on a creamy Melange (Vienna’s take on a cappuccino) paired with the legendary Sachertorte, a chocolate cake so famous it has its own legal battle over authenticity.

Now fueled and ready, we wander through Stephansplatz, home to the striking St. Stephen’s Cathedral, where Gothic architecture meets epic city views if we dare to climb the South Tower. Just a short walk away, the Graben and Kohlmarkt streets tempt us with high-end shops and charming boutiques—window shopping counts as an activity, right?

As the evening approaches, it’s time for one last foodie mission: Wiener Schnitzel. We find a cozy Gasthaus and dive into this crispy, golden perfection, best paired with an ice-cold Austrian beer. And for those who still have energy left? Vienna’s nightlife is calling—whether it’s cocktails by the Danube Canal or live music in a hidden speakeasy, this city knows how to end a day in style.

Included: overnight stay, breakfast, Schönbrunn Palace entry fee and 2hrs private tour guide

Welcome to Hungary!

The adventure continues! After a final Austrian breakfast (one last bite of Apfelstrudel, anyone?), we board the morning train to Budapest. In just a few hours, we swap Wien’s imperial charm for the eclectic energy of the Hungarian capital—a city where grand architecture meets ruin bars, and thermal baths sit side by side with trendy cafés.

Once we arrive, we dive straight into Budapest’s incredible history and vibrant culture with a 4-hour walking tour. Our journey begins at Heroes' Square, a massive tribute to Hungary’s greatest historical figures, before we stroll through the City Park, home to fairytale-like Vajdahunyad Castle. From there, we make our way down the grand Andrássy Avenue, often dubbed Budapest’s “Champs-Élysées,” lined with elegant buildings, theaters, and luxury boutiques.

The grand finale? A guided visit to the Hungarian Parliament, one of the most jaw-dropping government buildings in the world. Stepping inside feels like entering a palace—golden ceilings, intricate stained glass, and the legendary Dome Hall, where the Holy Crown of Hungary is kept under tight security. As we walk through the main staircase and the Upper House Chamber, we can almost hear the echoes of past political dramas.

By the end of the day, Budapest has already worked its magic on us. With the tour wrapped up, it’s time to settle in, grab a bite (chimney cake and goulash are calling our names), and prepare for whatever comes next—because in this city, the night is always young.

Included: overnight stay, breakfast, train to Budapest, walking tour with a private guide and entry fee to the Parliament

Budapest was made for exploring and unwinding
Show maps

We wake up in Budapest with no rush, no schedule—just the city at our feet and a whole morning to explore. After a relaxed breakfast (because let’s be real, we’re not leaving Hungary without one more bite of chimney cake), the day is ours to enjoy however we want.

Maybe we’ll wander the Jewish Quarter, where colorful street art meets ruin bars and hidden courtyards. Or perhaps we’ll climb up to Fisherman’s Bastion, where the fairytale-like turrets offer one of the best views of the Danube. Shopping? The Great Market Hall is the place to stock up on paprika, Tokaji wine, and quirky souvenirs. And if coffee is calling, there’s no better spot than the historic New York Café, where sipping an espresso feels like stepping into a royal ballroom.

For those craving ultimate relaxation, the afternoon brings a classic Budapest experience: the thermal baths. This city sits on a network of natural hot springs, which means we can soak in centuries-old spas and live our best lives like Hungarian royalty. Whether we choose the elegant Széchenyi Baths, with its outdoor pools and steamy chess players, or the moody, Ottoman-style Rudas Baths, with its mystical domed ceilings, one thing is certain—this is peak vacation mode.

As the day winds down, we’re refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready for whatever comes next. And in Budapest, that could mean a sunset cruise on the Danube, a cozy ruin bar, or one last plate of goulash before we say goodbye to this unforgettable city.

Bratislava and Prague
Show maps

The adventure never stops! Today, we kick things off bright and early, boarding the morning train to Bratislava. In just a couple of hours, we swap Budapest’s grandeur for the laid-back charm of Slovakia’s capital, a hidden gem that’s often overlooked—but totally shouldn’t be.

Once we arrive, we drop off our backpacks at the station (because let’s be real, nobody wants to lug those around) and set off to explore the city. Bratislava may be small, but it’s packed with cobblestone streets, medieval towers, and riverside views that make us feel like we’ve stepped into a fairytale.

Our two-hour city tour takes us through the Old Town, where magnificent bronze statues peek out from every corner (yes, we’re stopping for a photo with Cumil, the “man at work” peeking out of a sewer). We pass by the Primatial Palace, a gorgeous pink-hued building that once hosted historical peace treaties, and then make our way to the Main Square, where pastel-colored buildings and cafés create the perfect European postcard scene.

After soaking in the sights and grabbing a quick bite (anyone up for a Slovakian bryndzové halušky—aka cheesy potato dumplings?), it’s time to move on to our next destination.

By early afternoon, we’re back at the station, reclaiming our bags and hopping on the train to Prague. The journey itself is part of the experience—think rolling green hills, charming countryside villages, and the perfect excuse to catch up on some rest (or sort through the hundred photos we’ve already taken).

By early evening, we roll into Prague, ready to discover the magic of the City of a Hundred Spires. Another city, another adventure—let’s go!

A full day to explore Prague: let’s make it count!
Show maps

Waking up in Prague feels like stepping into a storybook—and today, we get to write our own chapter. With a free morning in one of Europe’s most enchanting cities, we can wander at our own pace, soaking in the magic of its cobblestone streets, grand bridges, and charming cafés.

Maybe we start with a leisurely stroll through Old Town Square, where the Astronomical Clock puts on its hourly show. Or perhaps we climb up to Prague Castle, where the views stretch all the way to forever. For those craving a peaceful escape, the Vltava riverside is the perfect place to relax, coffee in hand, as the city wakes up around us.

But let’s be honest—the real highlight of today is all about the food.

In the afternoon, we embark on a guided food tour, diving fork-first into Prague’s rich culinary scene. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. With a local foodie guide leading the way, we explore hidden gems, family-run spots, and authentic Czech flavors that go beyond the usual tourist traps.

Expect 6 to 7 tastings of Prague’s most iconic dishes. Of course, no Czech meal is complete without beer, so we raise a glass of the world-famous Pilsner and toast to good food, great company, and unforgettable adventures.

By the end of the tour, we’re full, happy, and probably planning our next meal—because in Prague, every bite is part of the story.

Welcome to Germany

Today, we swap Prague’s old-world charm for Berlin’s raw energy and cutting-edge culture. After a relaxed morning (and maybe one last trdelník for the road), we board our train to the German capital. As the landscapes shift from rolling Czech countryside to urban skylines, we get ready to dive into one of Europe’s most dynamic and history-packed cities.

Once we arrive in Berlin, the day is ours to explore. For those who want to hit the ground running, there’s an optional city tour that takes us through the heart of Berlin’s fascinating past and vibrant present. We walk through Brandenburg Gate, once a symbol of division, now a gateway to a reunited city, and stand in the solemn presence of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe—a powerful tribute to history that leaves an impact on every visitor.

The tour also takes us along remnants of the Berlin Wall, where history meets street art in a striking display of resilience and creativity. At the East Side Gallery, the longest preserved section of the Wall, we admire powerful murals, including the iconic “Fraternal Kiss.” Berlin’s story is one of revolution and reinvention, and every corner has something to say.

If sightseeing isn’t on the agenda, Berlin still has plenty to offer. Maybe it’s time to grab a currywurst from a street stand, chill out in a riverside beer garden, or explore the city’s legendary thrift shops and record stores.

As the sun sets, the city’s famous nightlife scene starts calling—whether it’s a cozy cocktail bar, a live music gig, or a legendary Berlin club, one thing’s for sure:*this city never sleeps, and neither do we.

One Last Day to Shop, Chill & Soak It All In

Well, folks, we made it. After days of exploring, adventuring, and probably developing a deep emotional bond with our backpacks, we’ve arrived at the final day of our European escapade. But don’t worry—this isn’t goodbye just yet.

Today is all about taking it easy (we deserve it). Whether you want to hit the stores for some last-minute souvenirs (yes, your mom does want a magnet) or just sip a cappuccino at a sidewalk café while feeling effortlessly European, the choice is yours.

Want to squeeze in one last adventure? Go for it! There are plenty of optional activities if we’re not ready to slow down just yet. But if all we want is to wander, shop, and reminisce about that time we almost missed the train, let’s do that too.

So, let’s make the most of this day. One last espresso, one last toast, and one last chance to pretend we’re locals before reality calls. We’ll be back, Europe. Just you wait.
