One of Europe’s great hikes

We start our day early, with some good toast with tomato, oil and serrano ham: we need energy for what awaits us... Our adventure in Andalusian lands begins on a path... the most dangerous in the world! Only an hour's drive from Malaga is El Caminito del Rey, a route built along the walls of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes: 3 km of walkways suspended up to 100 meters above the river that will test our bravery. The fame of this place derives from the conditions of the route, which before 2015 was free of balustrades or protections, with some sections collapsed. However, don't worry: today it is possible to do this excursion in complete safety, admiring the landscape that surrounds us.

After our hike, we will return to Malaga again. We will have the opportunity to enjoy what is perhaps the best sunset in the city from the Gibralfaro Castle before getting lost in Calle Larios and its numerous bars

Included: excursion to Caminito del Rey

Getting lost in the Albaicín

In the morning we change cities and we arrive at Granada, presided over by the impressive Alhambra. This medieval fortress with its characteristic red colour is perched on the hill that dominates the city. Framed by the Sierra Nevada peaks on the horizon, the highest in the Peninsula, it will be difficult not to fall in love immediately! But the Alhambra will have to wait until tomorrow, since today it is time to discover one of the most characteristic neighborhoods of Granada: the Albaicín.

Located on the hill directly in front of the Alhambra, we first admire the most beautiful panorama of the city, from the Mirador de San Nicolás, and then explore the twisting streets of the neighborhood. Elvira street, one of the most particular streets, will immediately catapult us into another world: in the street there are rugs and colored fabrics like those that can be found in a Moroccan souk. At night, after some good tapas, we can go into one of the many tearooms in the area to try Moroccan tea accompanied by a traditional hookah. We won't be short of options in this magical city!

Included: public bus between Malaga and Granada

Common fund: possible local transport and entrance fees

Not included: food and drinks not specified

The eighth wonder of the world
Show maps

Built during the 5th century, the Alhambra is a timeless beauty, and we will notice it walking through the Generalife gardens or visiting the decorated rooms of the Nasrid Palaces. Once again, we will have the impression that we have moved away from Spain and that we have been lost in distant Arab lands: we will have several hours to lose ourselves inside the Alhambra and travel back in time.

The rest of the day is free: for those who wish, it will be possible to visit some other point of interest, such as the Cathedral, the Madraza or the Royal Chapel. We are going to squeeze our last afternoon here so perhaps we can admire the art of flamenco in one of the sacromonte cave houses or why not relax in a real hammam? It doesn't matter what we decide because the night will end either way with a farewell dinner with all the tapas we can imagine, accompanied of course by a very cool green Alhambra beer.

Included: farewell dinner

Common fund: possible local transport and entrance fees

Not included: food and drinks not specified
