Canary Island: Tenerife 360°
Canary Island: Tenerife 360°
The trip in a nutshell
The volcanic island of Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and we will certainly be able to discover it far and wide during our group trip here. The undisputed star will be the sea, of course, with the wonderful beaches of Las Teresitas and El Médano, where we can (try to) surf. Then there are the natural pools of Garachico and Bajamar, but that's not all: the natural landscapes also play their part. We discover them by walking along the paths of the Teide National Park, from which the highest peak in Spain (3715 metres) dominates. We’ll also check out the ghost town of Abadés, spend a day on a catamaran in search of dolphins and whales, and have a day trip to La Gomera. Are you ready?

Whale-watching
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with us as we set sail on a catamaran to explore the stunning sea that surrounds Tenerife. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and whales, and if we're lucky enough, we might just catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. As the day comes to an end, we'll make our way back to the mainland, just in time to witness a breathtaking sunset from Abades. Don't forget to bring your camera, as you won't want to miss capturing this moment!
The abandoned village of Abades
Today, we have an eerie afternoon in store for us. Can you believe that there is a ghost town on this island? It's called Abades, and it was built to house lepers during the 1942 epidemic. Although it's uncertain if anyone ever lived there, several buildings still stand today, often adorned with murals. A visit is a must, and there's even a secluded beach nearby - what more could you ask for?

Greetings Tenerife! A new day and a new beach: today we head to El Médano, known as the bohemian hotspot of the island and a paradise for surfers and water sports enthusiasts. It's the perfect spot to take your first surf lesson of the trip! But if surfing isn't your cup of tea, fret not: the beach is always open and ready to welcome us!
Playa de la Tejita
Following a delicious lunch of fresh fish (unless you're veggie of course), a blissful afternoon awaits us at La Tejita beach where we can unwind and soak up the sun. But before we end the day, we'll embark on a short trek to the top of Red Mountain to witness another breathtaking sunset!

Teide National Park
Teide National Park
We have two more days left to fully enjoy Tenerife: in the morning, we indulge ourselves in the sea, visiting the beaches that we consider the most inspiring and are on our "must-see" list on the island. After that, we take the cable car and head to the Teide National Park, which is home to not only the highest peak in the Canary Islands but also in all of Spain (3715 meters high), and the third-highest volcano in the world! We will explore it in all its grandeur, walking through the paths that pass through forests and perennial snow. We will stay until sunset, because we assure you, the view from up here is simply breathtaking.

The North: Las Teresitas and the Anaga Forest
Las Teresitas: the endless beach
To the sea at last...but first, we must earn it! Our first goal of the day is to trek to the Semaforo de Igueste to enjoy an incredible view of the northern part of the island. After getting our circulation going, we spend the morning working on our tans and letting the wind blow through our hair (hopefully it's not too strong, you never know). We make our way to Las Teresitas beach, which is exactly what you picture when you think of the Canaries: golden sand, crystal-clear water, and even palm trees. We find a spot on the beach and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The enchanted forest
We're not satisfied with just the sea, so today we'll also venture into the woods - not the enchanted ones from fairy tales though! It's the Anaga Forest, also known as the Rural Park, and it's an experience not to be missed. We'll discover one of the most stunning natural views in all of northern Tenerife.

Take your time
What does today have in store?
As this is the final day of our trip, we have the freedom to decide how to spend our time: we know that Tenerife offers not only the sea, but also beautiful landscapes and unspoiled nature. We can choose to spend the last day on the beach, perfecting our tan, or venture into the island's interior to explore new hiking trails.
Why not go to another island?
We have a few options to consider for our last day here in Tenerife. While the island is known for its beautiful sea and beaches, it also offers stunning landscapes and natural beauty. We can either spend the day relaxing on the beach and working on our tan, or explore the interior of the island by trekking on new paths. Another option is to visit La Gomera, which is also referred to as Colombina Island due to its connection to the discovery of America. La Gomera is a wild and unspoiled island, with 16 protected natural areas and small villages to discover.
