Britain Unfolded: an epic journey from London to Edinburgh
Britain Unfolded: an epic journey from London to Edinburgh
The trip in a nutshell
London, Oxford, Liverpool, York, and Edinburgh—five cities, countless stories, and one epic adventure waiting to unfold.
We start in London, where we’ll have a full day to soak up the city's essence like true locals—hopping on the Tube, getting lost in charming alleyways, and maybe even mastering the art of the perfect pub pint. Then, it’s time to leave the capital behind as we head to Windsor, home to the King’s weekend retreat (fancy, huh?), before continuing to Oxford, where centuries-old spires whisper tales of scholars and dreamers.
Next up: Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace, where we’ll take a quick literary detour before rolling into Liverpool, the hometown of The Beatles and a city that knows how to have a good time. From here, we journey to York, a medieval gem packed with history, cobbled streets, and a towering Gothic cathedral that will leave us in awe.
Our grand finale? Edinburgh. Scotland’s capital greets us with its historic charm, a whisky experience that will warm our souls, and an Old Town that feels like stepping into a storybook. By the time we say our goodbyes, we’ll have memories stitched together from train rides, road trips, and laughter-filled nights in cozy British pubs. Ready for this adventure? We’ll see you in London!

London’s calling!
Discovering London
Rise and shine, London’s calling! Today, we dive headfirst into the city’s energy, navigating it like true Londoners—by foot and public transport (because let’s be honest, no one wants to sit in traffic when the Tube can whisk us anywhere in minutes). Our morning kicks off with a four-hour walking tour led by a local guide who knows the city inside out. This isn’t the average history lecture—we’ll get the inside scoop on royal scandals, hidden alleyways, and quirky British traditions while strolling past some of the most iconic spots: Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the bustling streets of Soho.
After lunch, the city is ours to explore. Feeling cultural? The British Museum and the National Gallery have world-class collections (and a price tag we love—free!). More into trendy vibes? Head to Camden Market for vintage finds and the best street food in town. If we’re chasing that perfect Instagram shot, the colorful houses of Notting Hill or the ultra-modern skyline of Canary Wharf won’t disappoint.
For those who want to see London from a whole new perspective, there's always the option to hop on the London Eye and take in jaw-dropping panoramic views of the city. As the sun sets, we wrap up the day like locals—grabbing a pint at a traditional pub or catching live music in one of London’s legendary venues. Cheers to an epic day in the UK capital!

Castles and college vibes: from Windsor to Oxford
A day filled with royal splendor
Today, we leave London behind and dive into a day filled with royal splendor, historic streets, and a touch of academic brilliance. First stop: Windsor Castle, the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle. Home to kings and queens for over a millennium, it’s the very definition of regal. We’ll wander through its grand halls, admire priceless artworks, and maybe even imagine what it’s like to have tea with the King. If the timing is right, we’ll witness the iconic Changing of the Guard—because nothing says British quite like a perfectly choreographed military parade.
From Windsor, we journey to Oxford, a city where every stone seems to whisper centuries-old secrets of scholars and poets. This is where C.S. Lewis dreamed up Narnia, where Tolkien found inspiration for Middle Earth, and where generations of students have walked the same historic paths. We’ll explore the stunning streets, soak in the charm of the honey-colored buildings, and if time allows, step inside one of the historic colleges—perhaps Lincoln College, a hidden gem right in the heart of the city. And since no visit to Oxford is complete without a stop at a historic pub, we might just raise a glass where some of the greatest minds once did.
As the sun sets over the spires, we settle into our hotel in Oxford, already looking forward to the adventures ahead.

Shakespeare, Stratford and the road to Liverpool
Trading poetry for rock ‘n’ roll
Today, we leave the dreaming spires of Oxford behind and hit the road towards Liverpool — but not before taking a literary pit stop in the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Welcome to Shakespeare’s hometown, where every street feels like a step back in time. First, we visit the Shakespeare Family Home, where the Bard himself grew up, and then we head over to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage—the picturesque thatched-roof home of Shakespeare’s wife, straight out of an English countryside fairytale. Walking through these historic spaces, we can almost hear the echoes of quills scratching on parchment and the whispers of timeless sonnets.
After soaking up all the Elizabethan charm, we hop back on our coach and continue north, trading poetry for rock ‘n’ roll as we arrive in Liverpool. This city has music in its DNA, a waterfront that belongs on a postcard, and a nightlife scene that will test our energy levels. Time to settle in and explore because the next chapter of our adventure is just getting started!
Included: breakfast, private transportation with driver, entry fees (Stratford Shakespeare Family Home, Birthplace Anne Hataway's Home) and overnight stay

Rock 'n' Roll in Liverpool, then on to the historic streets of York
From Beatles to Bricks: a journey North
We start the day with a relaxed morning in Liverpool – the perfect time to dive into the city's vibrant culture. We can choose between soaking in some rock ‘n’ roll history at The Beatles Story, where we can step into the world of the Fab Four, or take a stroll down Matthew Street and snap a selfie with the iconic statue of John Lennon. For those who prefer something different, maybe head to the Cavern Club, where it all began, or check out the Museum of Liverpool for a deeper dive into the city's history.
After this free morning, we’ll gather up and make our way to York, where we’ll have time to explore the charming streets and famous medieval walls. Ready for a day filled with history, culture, and a touch of that northern charm? Let’s do it!
