Itinerary - Copenhagen Express: Castles, Canals and Urban Charms

Once we arrive and check in at the hotel, we’ll have a welcome meeting  - this is a perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and discuss the exciting itinerary ahead. After, we'll head out for a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, where you'll indulge in traditional Danish cuisine and experience the warm hospitality that Copenhagen is renowned for.

Our day begins with a climb up the iconic tower of the Church of Our Saviour, where you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of Copenhagen. Next, we'll explore the unique and vibrant Freetown Christiania, a community known for its artistic spirit and alternative lifestyle. After soaking in the local culture, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Nyhavn, with its colourful buildings and lively atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we'll embark on a scenic canal boat tour, offering a fresh perspective of the city's stunning architecture. As we continue our journey, we'll pass by the regal Amalienborg Palace and the majestic Frederik's Church, making our way to the beloved symbol of Copenhagen, the Little Mermaid statue. For those with energy to spare, the evening offers the chance to unwind at a local bar or dive into the city's vibrant nightlife.

Today is all about immersing ourselves in the rich cultural experiences Copenhagen has to offer. We'll start with some spectacular museums, maybe the innovative IKONO for an immersive art experience or a visit to art and sculpture museum with a glorious winter garden. After soaking in the art scene, we'll delve into another of Copenhagen's treasures—Carlsberg beer. A tour of the Carlsberg house will not only reveal the fascinating history of this iconic brew but also offer a chance to sample some of its finest beers.

In the evening, we'll make our way to the enchanting Tivoli Gardens. Here, the magical atmosphere and antique roller coaster rides promise an unforgettable experience, perfect for rounding off a day filled with art, culture and fun.

Time for a day trip! We will board the train and head to the town of Hillerod, where the fairytale-like Frederiksborg castle sits. With its grand architecture and rich history, the castle stands as a testament to Denmark's royal heritage, offering a glimpse into a world of opulence and intrigue. After exploring the castle, wandering around the gardens and taking in the nature around the lake, we'll explore the centre of the quaint town itself. Why not grab some coffee, pastries and explore cute streets and local shops?

In the evening, we will be back in Copenhagen, where we will have a farewell dinner and take in the hygge atmosphere of Copenhagen one last time.
