Temples and palaces
One final stroll along the cobblestone paths and through the characteristic houses, then we're off to Gyeongju, the former capital of the Silla dynasty. This time, we opt for a leisurely train journey, relishing the scenery outside the window.
By evening, we'll catch glimpses of Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. Beyond its historical significance, Gyeongju thrives as a vibrant city brimming with youthfulness. What better chance to relish the company of fellow travelers and indulge in Sipwon-ppang, a traditional delight? We won't spoil the surprise, but your taste buds are in for a treat!

This morning is dedicated to the remnants of the Silla dynasty - astonishing tomb complexes and ancient temples like the revered Bulguksa, a UNESCO World Heritage site! As a final treat, we relish a slice of cheesecake before boarding the express train headed for Busan.
Ever heard of the movie 'Train to Busan'? Interestingly, it involves zombies on a train. No worries, though – we'll verify upon arrival. And, just in case, we're prepared for anything! Upon reaching Busan, we're greeted by the refreshing sight of the sea. What better way to enjoy it than with a delectable serving of hoe – a delightful local delicacy akin to super-fresh sushi!

Exploring Busan
A chill day
Today in Busan, we're free to soak in the city at our own pace. We've got a bunch of options: there are awesome beaches like Haeundae and Gwangalli to kick back on, or we can explore the historic Beomeosa Temple, a big deal in Korean Buddhism. For a lively scene, there's the Gukje Market where we can shop, eat, and check out local stuff.
Later, we can hit up the Cinema Center for a change of pace, and as the sun starts to set, why not head up to the Gamcheon Culture Village on the hill? It's this artsy, colorful neighborhood with twisty streets, and the view of the city from there is killer—especially during sunset!

To celebrate your return to the capital tonight, how about a little festivity? We can hit the dance floor in Itaewon, or if we're in the mood for a more sophisticated vibe, a chic bar in Gangnam might be the ticket. Oh, and that name might ring a bell—yes, it's the same Gangnam from the famous tune 'Gangnam Style'!
