Itinerary - Courmayeur Express Collection: Skiing, Wellness, and the Flavours of Aosta Valley Cuisine

We meet at the hotel, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the majestic mountains in this area of the Aosta Valley, where the Alpine charm embraces us from the very first moment. A warm welcome awaits us at our elegant resort, a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The evening begins with a typical Aosta Valley dinner, rich in authentic flavors and complemented by an impeccable local wine pairing. With fontina, mocetta, and other regional delicacies, we start to explore the culinary heart of these mountains, all within an intimate and convivial atmosphere, perfect for connecting and bonding right from the start.

The day begins with a delicious breakfast, where you can savour local specialties with a refined twist. There’s just enough time to get ready for an unforgettable adventure on the slopes, and we’re set for a day of skiing. The slopes of Courmayeur are a paradise for skiers of all levels, perfect for gaining confidence on these iconic mountains, with plenty of space for those who want to perfect their technique or simply enjoy the descent in style.

After a morning of skiing, it’s time to relax in the hotel spa. Here, surrounded by steam baths, a regenerating sauna, and personalised massages, we find our balance, immersing ourselves in a world of well-being where every detail is designed to pamper us. In the evening, a magical experience awaits us: a snowcat or snowmobile takes us to an exclusive cabin, nestled in the silence of the snow. Inside, a warm atmosphere makes us feel right at home as we enjoy typical Alpine dishes, elevated with a gourmet touch, paired with fine wines and impeccable service. The day ends with a return to the hotel, still enchanted by the charm of Courmayeur, as we eagerly anticipate more adventures in this magical corner of the Alps.

After breakfast in the warm and refined atmosphere of our resort, we prepare for an exclusive ski lesson with a dedicated instructor. In small groups of three, we perfect our technique, enjoying the descents as our instructors guide us along the impeccable slopes of Courmayeur, with the majestic Mont Blanc as our backdrop.

In the afternoon, we gather together for a collective skiing experience, filled with fun and speed. For those craving something even more exclusive, there’s the option to experience the thrill of heli-skiing (extra cost): imagine being flown by helicopter to untouched snow, where only our group leaves traces on the pristine, spectacular descents.

At the end of our snow adventure, a relaxing après-ski awaits in true Courmayeur style, with refined drinks and conversation, before we head to the hotel spa. Here, immersed in heated pools and soothing steam, we unwind, treating ourselves to a well-deserved moment of well-being in this luxurious Alpine retreat.

Today, we wake up early, with the sun still hidden behind the mountains. After a cappuccino and a brioche to fuel up, we head straight to the Dolonne cable car or the one in Courmayeur. In just a few minutes, we’re at the top, with the stunning view of Mont Blanc right in front of us, setting the tone for an epic day.

We start with the wider, easier slopes to warm up, maybe at Plan Checrouit, where the snow is fresh and in great condition. Once we feel comfortable, we move on to the more challenging slopes like Youla or Arp, speeding down as the adrenaline kicks in. For those looking for a bit more excitement, an off-piste excursion is a must. The Vallée Blanche, for example, offers fresh snow, wild scenery, and views that are hard to beat.

It’s time to take a break. We stop at a refuge, perhaps at Maison Vieille, to enjoy a plate of polenta and a spritz (or a bombardino for those feeling bold). After some laughs and group photos, we head back out for more skiing.

The day winds down with a slow descent at sunset, as the lights of Courmayeur start to glow below. Back in town, we shed our boots and start thinking about dinner: a fondue at a local Aosta Valley restaurant, capping off a great day with tired legs and full bellies. Courmayeur has a way of making us want to come back.
